I’m trying to ID the type of maple used on this German medieval lyre artifact.

I’d like an opinion on whether it looks more like Sycamore maple or Field/Norway maple, since you say you can differentiate based in ray width. Its one of those three, known to be European maple.

Sources just say “Maple” and dont specify which. These are European sources, so I actually wonder if they are differentiating it from Sycamore maple.
